It may not look all that special from the outside, but this will become a must-stop on all our trips through here. The service is fantastic -friendly and skilled. The owners were there, working like everyone else. The food portions are enormous and very reasonably-priced. We both had the gyros and despite our many travels, we agreed that we've never had a better gyro anywhere. Everything is house-made when ever possible and you know it. We both got soup (his was potato, mine vegetable beef) and felt like our own moms were in the kitchen doing the cooking. They also have two options for fries: crinkle cut or house-made. Hubby had a piece of strawberry cheesecake and loved it. Everything about our experience was fantastic!
Our first time eating here. We were on our way home and decided to stop into this family owned diner. The food and service was great. We even took home a piece of hommade marion berry pie. If you was great diner food I would definitely stop here.
Excellent food! We had the cinnamon french toast and the meat lovers breakfast skillet and were very impressed. The entire staff was extremely friendly and the service was very quick. The owner even came to our table for a quick chat and to make sure everything was to our liking. She even offered to fill my water bottle to take with me for the drive home. Perfect way to start our day!
One of the most pleasant dining experiences in a long time! My wife and I dropped in to this cozy little family-owned diner and had a late lunch, consisting of an open-faced hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and thick, dark brown gravy; liver and onions; and a side order of fresh, home-cut French fries. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious!! The BEST part was having hospitable service. Our server, Nora, was very friendly, happy, out-going and courteous! If you want a family-friendly place to eat, make the journey to Star 63!!
Everyone was so, so kind and caring! The service was amazing! The waitresses were consistently checking in on me! The food was superb. The owner's wife was amazingly nice, caring, loving and friendly! She treated us like we were family. All in all, this whole experience was sublime!
Very good choice to stop and grab some breakfast before heading back to St. Louis. I was greeted immediately and got my order taken. In what only seemed like 5 minutes, my food was on my table. Portions were generous and everything was hot and delicious. Guaranteed I will be getting breakfast again when I come back to Macon to see my family.
We are visiting the local area for several days and like trying new places to eat, so we decided to give it a try. Oh my goodness I would give this place a 10/10 on the portion size, the food, the friendly staff, great prices for the amount of food received, and wide variety of selections. Tami (our waitress) did an awesome job and was very patient and helpful with me trying to decide what to eat; hats off to her and the staff!!! We are from Kentucky and believe me if ever in the area again will be returning, if not before we leave, next time we might have breakfast which is served all day.
The food was great! The staff and service was just as good. The coconut cheesecake was out of this world!!!
